Mexican authorities are taking steps to accommodate young football fans ahead of the highly anticipated World Cup.

In a significant announcement, the Mexican government revealed changes to the academic calendar for schools and universities in light of the upcoming tournament. The school year will be shortened by 40 days, concluding on June 5 instead of the usual date, enabling students to enjoy the summer holidays from June 5 to August 31.

This adjustment is designed to allow children to fully experience the World Cup matches, particularly as Mexico will be one of the host nations for the event.
