Messi’s brilliance remains unequivocal.

Historically, Messi has been known to secure victories for Barcelona, even during times when the team as a whole was underperforming.

Details: In a recent interview, Casemiro, the 34-year-old defensive midfielder for Manchester United, reflected on his tenure at Real Madrid, especially his encounters with Lionel Messi during El Clásico matches.

Casemiro recounted his strategy of being cautious around Messi, expressing concerns about provoking the legendary player:

“Every time we played, I didn’t say too much, didn’t put too much pressure on him, because I didn’t want to make him angry.

I’d make a tackle, then say, ‘Sorry’ (laughs). You just can’t stop him, it’s impossible. Barcelona might be playing poorly, but then Messi scores, and that’s three points,” Casemiro stated.

Casemiro played for Real Madrid from 2015 to 2022, accumulating 336 appearances, scoring 31 goals, and providing 29 assists during his time with the club.
