Real Madrid is reportedly in search of a new head coach, with José Mourinho emerging as a potential candidate. This consideration has met with opposition from club legend Iker Casillas.
In a recent message shared on X, the former goalkeeper expressed his reservations about Mourinho’s return. “I have no problem with Mourinho. In my opinion, he is a great professional. But I do not want him to coach Real Madrid. I believe there are other coaches better suited for the job at the club to which I have been devoted my entire life. This is only my personal opinion. And nothing more,” Casillas stated.
The call for a new coach comes in the wake of another disappointing season for Real Madrid, which saw them finish without a trophy for the second consecutive year. This prompted club president Florentino Pérez to address the media at a significant press conference regarding the future direction of the team.
