Neymar continues to hold a legendary status in Brazilian football as his prospects of being included in the nation’s squad for the upcoming 2026 World Cup have significantly improved.

Details: In a recent interview, Brazil’s national team coach Carlo Ancelotti discussed the potential inclusion of Santos winger Neymar in the preliminary roster for the World Cup. Ancelotti emphasized Neymar’s importance to the Brazilian football community.

“Neymar is hugely loved by players and fans alike. If you call Neymar up to the squad, it doesn’t spark a storm of emotions in the dressing room, because he is so highly valued and cherished. I think it’s normal—everyone is entitled to their opinion. I appreciate all the advice people have given me. Neymar is an important player for this country, with the talent he’s always shown, and who has been dealing with an issue he’s now recovering from,” Ancelotti stated.
