Algerian winger Yacine Brahimi is looking forward to the impending announcement of the squad for this summer’s World Cup, co-hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Having previously competed in the 2014 World Cup, Brahimi remains hopeful for a final call-up to represent Les Fennecs.
In an interview with Ennahar TV, Brahimi expressed his eagerness ahead of the highly anticipated announcement. He has had an impressive season with Al-Gharafa in Qatar, where he scored 9 goals and provided 14 assists. The 36-year-old stated that he feels prepared to contribute if given the opportunity by the manager.
I’ll be in front of my TV for the squad announcement. It’s my last chance to play in a World Cup, after 2014. Despite the competition, I feel ready. If not, I’ll be supporting my country, as always. If I’m called up, it would be a dream come true. I remain optimistic.

Brahimi has not been included in the Algerian national team for over a year, but he remains committed to supporting Algeria, regardless of whether he is selected.
