However, the Magpies are not alone in their pursuit. Liverpool has also expressed interest in the Monaco midfielder, with plans to make a counter-offer in the coming days.
In light of the growing interest from these clubs, Monaco is reportedly looking for a transfer fee of approximately €50 million to release their star player.
