Tanzania U17 has made history by becoming the first nation to secure qualification for the knockout stage of the U17 Africa Cup of Nations, following a commanding 3-0 victory over Angola in Group C.
The young Taifa Stars displayed impressive form throughout the tournament, maintaining their position at the top of the group standings with another convincing performance.
Razaki Mbegelendi opened the scoring for Tanzania in the first half, and Hassan Kizinga extended their lead after the break. Angola faced further difficulties when Osvaldo Costa was shown a red card in the 64th minute, allowing Tanzania to capitalize quickly; Sadam Hamis scored just two minutes later to seal the victory.
With this win, Tanzania has now secured victories in both of their opening matches and currently leads Group C with a total of six points.
