Players have begun arriving at the Etalons’ training base in Ouagadougou as Burkina Faso prepares for the June 2026 FIFA international window. The training camp was initiated following head coach Amir Abdou’s announcement of the squad for this international break.
This pre-camp, organized at the request of Abdou, focuses on ensuring that all players, most of whom have recently completed their domestic league seasons, reach a similar level of fitness before the team’s impending departure for Russia.
Currently, ten players have reported for duty, including Hilel Konaté, Kilian Nikiema, Ismaila Ouedraogo, Lohan Doucet, Abdoul Fessal Tapsoba, Arsène Kouassi, Edmond Tapsoba, Hadalou Sagne, Cyrille Dao, and Mohamed Ouedraogo.
Burkina Faso is scheduled to play friendly matches against Russia and Belarus on June 5 and June 9, respectively.
