Senegalese international Krepin Diatta has voiced his frustration over the Confederation of African Football’s decision to award the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations title to Morocco. This decision came after Senegal was stripped of the title, a matter currently under review by the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
Diatta made his views clear in a recent statement, expressing strong reservations about the legitimacy of Morocco’s claim to the title. He believes that the Atlas Lions do not deserve recognition as champions, particularly after having been defeated on the field.
He emphatically stated, “No medals will be handed back! If they want medals, they’ll just have to go to the blacksmith,” highlighting his stance on the matter.
