The Brazil national football team faces a significant setback ahead of the World Cup, as forward Neymar grapples with fitness concerns. Despite being included in the final squad, Neymar’s health issues raise doubts about his readiness for the tournament.

According to ESPN, the 34-year-old winger is currently dealing with a calf muscle strain, with reports suggesting that the injury may be more serious than initially assessed. His recovery timeline could extend beyond what was originally anticipated.

As a result of this injury, Neymar is unlikely to participate in Brazil’s forthcoming friendly matches. The team is scheduled to play warm-up games against Panama on May 31 and Egypt on June 6 before the World Cup commences.
