Francis Uzoho has been appointed as the captain of the Nigerian national football team for the upcoming Unity Cup semi-final match against Zimbabwe.
The decision comes as regular captain Wilfred Ndidi and experienced forward Moses Simon are unavailable for the match.
Uzoho, currently playing for Omonia Nicosia, is recognized as the most senior player in the squad. He also attended a pre-match press conference alongside head coach Éric Chelle on Monday.
