Franco Mastantuono, the 18-year-old midfielder for Real Madrid, has reportedly been omitted from Argentina’s final squad for the upcoming World Cup, according to journalist Gaston Edul.

Argentina’s head coach, Lionel Scaloni, is said to be unconvinced by Mastantuono’s current form, as the player has struggled throughout what has been characterized as a disappointing season.

As of now, Argentina has yet to officially announce its squad, leaving the possibility for Scaloni to reconsider his selection.
