The situation involving the former Netherlands and Ajax football star has intensified as authorities reveal new developments in his drug trafficking case.
Details: Dutch news outlet De Telegraaf reports that the authorities will seek to recoup 8 million euros from the ex-national team player, asserting that this amount was generated through drug dealings.
Allegedly, the footballer claimed to earn between 20,000 and 33,000 euros for each block of cocaine sold, with investigators noting that he managed to smuggle a total of 650 blocks.
Currently, the former player is serving time in a Dutch prison, having been sentenced to six years for his involvement in drug trafficking, in addition to an 18-month sentence for stabbing his cousin during a family event.
