After the match had ended, with his team having crushed Inter Milan 5-0, the Spanish coach joined the festivities with his players and, to the surprise of those present, decided to change his shirt in a heartfelt tribute.
From a distance, it was hard to make out what he was wearing, but the message was clear: a heartfelt tribute to his daughter Xana, who passed away at the end of August 2019.
What could be seen on his black shirt was a drawing of his little daughter, who had been a source of inspiration for Luis Enrique throughout his coaching career.
