Roma forward Paulo Dybala is nearing a new two-year contract with the club, agreeing to a substantial pay cut to remain in Rome. The Argentine player, who has been a pivotal figure for the Giallorossi, is set to finalize the deal just days before he would have entered free agency.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the 32-year-old striker opted to stay with Roma despite interest from Boca Juniors. This decision highlights Dybala’s commitment to the Italian side amid speculation regarding his future.
The new contract will see Dybala’s salary reduced from €8 million per season to around €2.5 million, plus additional bonuses tied to his playing time, which considers his recent injury history.
This season, Dybala has appeared in 27 matches for Roma, contributing 3 goals and 8 assists. The official signing of the new contract is anticipated in the coming days.
