Arsenal, currently competing in Budapest for their first-ever European club championship title, may face stringent UEFA regulations should they emerge victorious tonight.
Details: According to reports from MatchDay Central, citing the Mirror, the Gunners will not be permitted to display the main trophy in their club museum, even if they lift it during the celebration.
Under UEFA’s official regulations, the Champions League winners are allowed to hold the original trophy only temporarily for on-field ceremonies and official photographs in the dressing room. Following the celebrations, Arsenal will need to return the authentic trophy to UEFA officials immediately.
Furthermore, recent adjustments to UEFA’s rules indicate that the winning team will not receive a full-size replica of the original cup. Instead, Arsenal will receive a smaller replica, measuring no more than 80% of the actual trophy, crafted according to UEFA’s specifications.
