The Cameroonian Football Federation has yet to approve any international friendly matches for the Indomitable Lions during this international break. Despite the lack of scheduled games, the situation is not a result of a scarcity of opponents.
Four countries—Iran, Uruguay, Iraq, and Bosnia and Herzegovina—expressed interest in playing friendly matches in preparation for the 2026 World Cup. Each of these nations reached out to the federation with proposals and even offered to cover certain expenses related to the matches.
However, according to reports from Jeune Afrique, all proposals were declined by the governing body of football in Cameroon, leaving the Indomitable Lions without any international fixtures during this period.
