Éric Chelle has announced that key forwards Victor Osimhen and Ademola Lookman will miss Nigeria’s upcoming international friendlies against Poland and Portugal. The Super Eagles are set to face Poland in Warsaw on June 10, followed by a match against Portugal in Leiria, as they prepare for future competitions.
The decision to exclude both players was communicated by Chelle, who initially included them in his squad announcement. However, it has now been confirmed that both will sit out due to different circumstances.
“We miss two players because Victor Osimhen maybe he is about to change club so I prefer he stays at home because if he plays and is not at 100 percent is not good,” the Malian told the Super Eagles media.
