Achraf Hakimi has marked a significant milestone in African football by equaling a historic UEFA Champions League record held exclusively by Samuel Eto’o.
The Moroccan defender achieved this feat on Saturday, as Paris Saint-Germain celebrated their victory over Arsenal in Budapest, securing their status as European champions.
With this win, Hakimi claimed the third Champions League title of his career, aligning him with Eto’o as one of the most successful African players in the competition’s history.
Eto’o’s three Champions League titles were won during a distinguished career, featuring two triumphs with FC Barcelona in 2006 and 2009, followed by a third title with Inter Milan in 2010.
