Leandro Paredes, midfielder for Boca Juniors and the Argentina national team, has sustained a muscle injury that will prevent him from participating in the upcoming international friendlies ahead of the World Cup.

Following complaints of pain in his right hamstring, Paredes underwent a medical examination, which confirmed a muscle tear. According to Tyc Sports, he is expected to take approximately three weeks to recover, ruling him out of Argentina’s warm-up matches against Honduras and Iceland.

His participation in the opening World Cup match against Algeria, scheduled for June 16 in Kansas City, remains uncertain. Medical staff will closely monitor his recovery, with hopes for a potential return during the tournament.
