In a significant reshuffle following the 2025/26 season, Liverpool has parted ways with notable figures, including star player Mohamed Salah, head coach Arne Slot, and key defender Ibrahima Konaté, who is now considering his future career options.

Reports from Fabrizio Romano indicate that Konaté has attracted interest from several clubs in Saudi Arabia and is expected to review these offers in the coming days. Previously, Real Madrid had expressed interest in signing the 24-year-old, but they opted to end negotiations in November 2025 to show respect for Liverpool.

During the last season, Konaté made 51 appearances for Liverpool and scored two goals. His current market valuation, according to Transfermarkt, stands at €50 million.
