Legendary Italian coach Roberto Mancini is poised to return as the head of the Italy national football team, according to sources. The official announcement regarding his appointment is expected to be made soon.

Renowned insider Nicolò Schira reported on his X social media page that the Italian Football Federation is finalizing the details of Mancini’s return. The 61-year-old coach’s new contract is rumored to run until 2030, with an annual salary of €2 million.

Currently, Mancini is serving as the head coach of Qatari club Al Sadd, and it remains uncertain if he will manage both roles simultaneously or leave the club entirely.

Mancini previously managed the Italian national team from 2018 to 2023, achieving significant success with the Euro 2020 victory, which marked Italy’s first championship title since 1968.
