Kaizer Chiefs Marketing Director Jessica Motaung confirmed that the club will soon announce its new technical team, following the departure of co-coaches Cedric Kaze and Ben Youssef Khalil. Although Motaung did not specify a timeline for the announcement, she emphasized the importance of the changes for the team’s future.
Speaking at the launch of the Toyota Cup, Motaung expressed gratitude to the previous coaches and the technical team for their contributions, noting their role in securing a third-place finish. “First and foremost, thank you to the coaches and the technical team for the wonderful work that they’ve done, getting us third,” Motaung stated.
She added, “As we move forward, the mandate and the announcements will be made in due course regarding the technical team and where we intend to go. But certainly, Chiefs is a team that is contending for what is on the table and making sure that we continue to rise to get success.”
In addition to coaching changes, Chiefs announced their pre-season tournament, revealing they will face Zimbabwe PSL side Scotland FC in July.
