“The Magpies” have bolstered their goalkeeping lineup.
Newcastle United has officially announced the signing of 20-year-old French goalkeeper Even Jaouen from Reims. The confirmation came through the club’s official page on the social media platform X.
The transfer fee is reported to be 25 million euros, and Jaouen has signed a contract that will keep him at the club until 2030.
Jaouen, who rose through the ranks of Reims’ youth academy to join the first team in just two years, attracted interest from several top European clubs, with Newcastle being the most persistent of them all.
In the previous season, Jaouen played 34 matches for Reims, conceding 35 goals and achieving 15 clean sheets. His current market value is estimated at 12 million euros by Transfermarkt.
Reinforcement for the Magpies! Newcastle targets one of Serie A’s top midfielders.
