New Chelsea head coach Xabi Alonso is set to take charge of the team and is making strategic decisions regarding the future of several key players.

According to Jack Rosser, Alonso is focused on retaining midfielder Enzo Fernández and plans to personally engage with him to secure his continued presence at the club. Similarly, Alonso aims to hold discussions with defender Marc Cucurella to ensure he remains part of Chelsea’s squad for the upcoming season.

Previously reported, both Manchester United and Manchester City have shown interest in signing Cucurella, with Chelsea placing a price tag of approximately €50 million on the defender. This valuation has drawn attention from various prominent European clubs.
