Portugal ended Nigeria’s remarkable 12-match unbeaten streak with a narrow 2-1 victory in an international friendly on Wednesday. The match took place at Estádio Dr. Magalhães Pessoa, showcasing both teams’ competitive spirit.

Portugal opened the scoring in the 23rd minute, with Pedro Neto finding the back of the net. However, Nigeria responded swiftly, equalising just before halftime when Akor Adams scored in the 37th minute, bringing the teams level at 1-1.

The second half saw both sides vying for dominance, but it was Portugal who secured the decisive goal. Francisco Conceição netted the winner in the 74th minute, restoring Portugal’s lead and ultimately clinching the match.
