AC Milan is reportedly targeting a significant addition to its defensive lineup as the club prepares for the upcoming season.
According to Ekrem Konur on his X social media page, incoming head coach Oliver Glasner has expressed a strong interest in signing 33-year-old Austrian defender David Alaba. This request came after discussions with the “Rossoneri” management.
Alaba, who recently became a free agent after failing to renew his contract with Real Madrid, is attracting interest from multiple clubs, with AC Milan currently positioned as the frontrunner. Glasner considers Alaba an ideal candidate to bolster Milan’s defense, noting his extensive experience and versatility to play both as a central defender and on the left flank.
This season, Alaba has appeared in 16 matches for “Los Blancos” without registering any goals or assists. His current market value is estimated at 3 million euros by Transfermarkt.
