Slavia Prague defender Igoh Ogbu has successfully undergone surgery to repair an Achilles tendon injury sustained while on international duty with Nigeria.
The injury occurred during the June international break, with subsequent medical evaluations confirming a ruptured Achilles tendon.
This injury arose just days before Nigeria’s scheduled international friendly against Portugal, sidelining the 24-year-old centre-back for an extended period.
In a statement, Slavia Prague confirmed that Ogbu is expected to be out of action for approximately three months as he begins his recovery and rehabilitation process with the club’s medical team.
