Bafana Bafana players Teboho Mokoena and Nkosinathi Sibisi are facing potential disciplinary action in the ongoing tournament. Both players have been warned that a yellow card during their upcoming match against Czechia could result in their exclusion from the final Group A match against South Korea.
Mokoena received the tournament’s first yellow card last Thursday after a foul, leaving the field alongside Sibisi, who was also cautioned by Brazilian referee Wilton Sampaio.
Their current situation puts them in a precarious position: if either player is booked in the match against Czechia at the Mercedes Benz Stadium, they will be unable to participate in the vital clash against South Korea.
Despite being key players for coach Hugo Broos, the challenge remains whether they can balance the need to perform at their best without risking further penalties, creating a dilemma for the Bafana Bafana team as they aim for success in the tournament.
