The captain of Senegal’s national football team, Kalidou Koulibaly, has voiced concerns over the challenges faced by African supporters in attending the World Cup in the United States. Many fans from various African nations have been unable to travel due to difficulties in obtaining visas.
In an interview with The Athletic, Koulibaly expressed his disappointment regarding the situation, highlighting the importance of football as a unifying force. He emphasized that every national team should have the opportunity to be supported by their fans.
“Every national team can have its supporters, so why not the Africans? I don’t want to talk about politics or that sort of thing. I just want to talk about football, enjoy football, and I think football is for everyone,” Koulibaly stated.
