Ricardo Goss has expressed that South Africa’s national soccer team, Bafana Bafana, feels a sense of envy towards Morocco following their impressive display against Brazil in the World Cup. Goss acknowledged that the North African team managed to secure a 1-1 draw against the renowned football powerhouse, a stark contrast to Bafana’s 2-0 loss to Mexico in their opening match last week.
Looking ahead to Bafana’s upcoming clash with Czechia this evening, Goss emphasized the importance of seizing the opportunity to perform at a high level, inspired by Morocco’s showing. “Yeah, that game is actually good for the people from Africa,” he stated during a press conference, according to Mahlatse Mphahlele.
He further noted that Morocco’s performance instills confidence in other African teams, reinforcing the idea that they can compete against any opponent. “We actually do draw inspiration from such games and from Morocco as well. We just need to prove it against Czechia in the next game,” Goss added.
The match against Czechia is scheduled to commence at 6 PM South African time.
