The Atlas Lions achieved a significant victory in their second World Cup match in Group C on June 20, competing across the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
After the match, Morocco’s manager, Mohamed Ouahbi, commended his players for their performance against what he described as a formidable opponent. He noted, however, that a larger lead would have provided his team with more security to manage the match comfortably.
“I’m very satisfied, although I would have preferred to score a second and third goal to give us a bit more breathing space. They were a very intense side, a compact unit. We managed to control them, even with just a one-goal lead,” Ouahbi stated.
