Porto have completed the signing of 16-year-old Norwegian midfielder Eirik Granaas from Fredrikstad, with the teenager putting pen to paper on a contract running until June 2029.
The Portuguese giants are reported to have paid a fee of €2.5 million plus performance-related add-ons for the highly rated prospect, who is widely regarded as one of Scandinavia’s brightest young talents.
Granaas, who is also sometimes spelled Erik Granaas, operates primarily as a central or attacking midfielder. He will initially link up with Porto B, while also maintaining regular involvement with first-team training sessions as part of his development pathway.
The teenager rose rapidly through the ranks at Fredrikstad, becoming the second-youngest player in Norwegian top-flight history after Martin Odegaard. Despite his age, he made 14 senior appearances for the club and scored once.
His breakthrough moment in the 2026 Eliteserien season came against Aalesunds, when he scored just six minutes after coming on as a substitute. He also featured in European competition, making a brief appearance in the UEFA Europa League during the 2025–26 campaign.
Granaas also impressed at reserve level, scoring seven goals in 18 appearances.
