Morocco midfielder Ismael Saibari has made history at the 2026 FIFA World Cup by becoming the first player from Morocco to score in all three group stage matches. This milestone was achieved during the team’s match against Haiti, where Saibari equalized in first-half stoppage time.
The match, which concluded with a halftime score of 2-2, highlighted Saibari’s notable performance, marking his third goal of the tournament. His previous goals included a strike against Brazil in a 1-1 draw and the winning goal in a 1-0 victory over Scotland.
Saibari’s achievement sets a new precedent for Moroccan football, as no player from the nation had previously managed to score in every group stage match of a World Cup. Following this successful tournament, he is expected to transfer from PSV Eindhoven to Bayern Munich for a fee of €55 million.
Earlier, Vinicius Junior became the first Brazil player in 24 years to score in every group stage match at a World Cup.
