The Ivorian national football team has made history by qualifying for the knockout stages of the World Cup for the first time. This significant achievement was secured on Thursday, June 25, during the tournament hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

This milestone marks a pivotal moment for Ivory Coast on the international stage, as they advance to the round of 32. Emerse Faé, the head coach of the Elephants, expressed his delight at the accomplishment, highlighting the team’s determination and spirit.

“Pride is the first thing that springs to mind. We knew we could do it. We’ve done it; we’ve finished second we didn’t want to have to go through the third-place. We’re delighted. Now we’re going to have a good rest and prepare properly for the round of 32. Ivory Coast can celebrate, and the Ivorian people can support us even more so that we can go as far as possible,” Faé stated.
