According to FC Inter 1908, Inter Milan are looking at the possibility of signing John Stones on a free transfer this summer.
The English centre-back is now available as a free agent after leaving Manchester City at the end of last season.
Several Italian clubs are linked with Stones alongside the English club Everton.
Inter are in need of defensive reinforcements following the exits of Stefan de Vrij and Francesco Acerbi.
Their pursuit of Udinese’s Oumar Solet hasn’t yielded any breakthrough, with talks currently on hold.
Stones, currently part of England’s World Cup squad, has a wealth of top-flight experience and Champions League pedigree under his belt, but Inter could find his injury record a major concern.
He can link up with his former Man City teammate Manuel Akanji at San Siro.
