Honduran referee Saíd Martínez has been appointed by FIFA to officiate the upcoming match between Senegal and Belgium in the 2026 World Cup. This clash will take place at Seattle Stadium on Wednesday, July 1, at 8 pm GMT.

The match is essential for Senegal, known as the Lions of Teranga, as they aim to advance to the knockout stages after facing challenges in the group phase.

With just two days remaining before the match, FIFA has confirmed the officiating team. Alongside Martínez, Walter López and Christian Ramírez from Honduras will serve as assistant referees. Colombians Andrés Rojas and Alexander Guzmán have been designated as the fourth and fifth officials, respectively.
