Juventus is considering a significant move in the summer transfer window. Reports indicate the club has turned down an initial offer from Nottingham Forest for young wing-back Nicolò Savona, according to Sky Sport Italia.
The offer was reportedly around €12 million (approximately Rp 228 billion), but Juventus is said to be holding out for a higher fee.
Sources say Juventus will only consider selling Savona for a figure closer to Rp 341 billion. Nottingham Forest has not yet begun discussions with the player regarding personal terms.
Savona, a product of Juventus’s Next Gen team, played in 28 Serie A matches last season. He featured under Thiago Motta before Igor Tudor took over. His solid performance has raised his profile in Italian football.
Savona was absent from Juventus’s squad for the opening Serie A match against Parma in the 2025-26 season due to an injury sustained against Manchester City during the FIFA Club World Cup this past summer.
However, recent reports suggest that the 22-year-old has resumed training with the first team amidst intensifying transfer speculation as the summer window nears its end.
Nottingham Forest views Savona as a vital addition to bolster their defense in the Premier League. Negotiations are ongoing, with no agreement reached between the two clubs at this time.
Arthur Melo Loaned to Gremio
In related news, Juventus has announced that Arthur Melo has been loaned to Gremio until the end of the 2025/26 season. This marks the fourth consecutive loan spell for Arthur away from Juventus.
Arthur previously spent time on loan at Liverpool in 2022/23, Fiorentina in 2023/24, and Girona in the second half of the 2024/25 season. During his time with Girona in La Liga, he made 15 appearances, including 10 starts.
Juventus stated that Arthur is returning to Brazil to embark on a new chapter with his boyhood club. The club also noted that since joining in 2020, Arthur has made 63 appearances in the black and white of Juventus.
Arthur last played in Serie A for Juventus in the 2021/22 season, when Massimiliano Allegri was in charge. He remains under contract with Juventus until 2027, although his future in Italian football remains uncertain. Source: Footem.in
