Inter Milan is planning significant defensive changes for next summer. The club is preparing for the aging and contract expirations of key players. Stefan de Vrij (33) and Francesco Acerbi (37) are contracted until 2026, while Matteo Darmian, who turns 36 in December, can start negotiating freely in January. Despite the emergence of Yann Aurel Bisseck, Inter aims to strengthen its defense in the upcoming transfer window to ensure a smooth transition and infuse new talent into the squad.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter’s top target is Crystal Palace defender Marc Guéhi. The 25-year-old is out of contract next June and has attracted interest from top clubs across Europe, including FC Barcelona, Bayern Munich, and several Premier League teams such as Liverpool and Manchester City. Inter hopes to sign him on a free transfer, but competition is tough. The club may consider making an early move in January, possibly including Bisseck in the deal, although this option remains uncertain for now.
