Ten goals were scored as Barcelona secured a 7–3 victory over South Korean club FC Seoul in a pre-season friendly at the Seoul World Cup Stadium on Thursday evening (IST).
Barcelona took the lead just eight minutes into the match. Robert Lewandowski found the back of the net after Lamine Yamal’s shot hit the post and bounced back out. The score was 1–0.
The visitors doubled their lead in the 14th minute. This time, Yamal scored with a low shot from outside the penalty area after receiving the ball from an FC Seoul player who had rebounded it. The score was now 2–0.
FC Seoul equalised with goals from Cho Young-wook and Yazan Al-Arab. Just before halftime, Yamal scored again to give Barcelona a 3-2 lead.
Barcelona took a 4-2 lead in the second half, in the 55^(th) minute specifically. Andreas Christensen’s powerful shot from outside the penalty box rattled FC Seoul’s net.
A quick Barcelona counter-attack in the 73rd minute ended with Ferran Torres scoring, giving his team a 5-2 lead.
They added another two minutes later. Gavi received the ball from Gerard Martin, tricked his opponent with a turn of his body and kicked the ball into the net. The score was now 6-2.
FC Seoul reduced the deficit in the 85^(th) minute with a goal from Jung Han-min. Three minutes later, Ferran Torres scored to seal Barcelona’s 7-3 victory.
