Two Senegalese players have been nominated.
The candidates for the 2025 African Ballon d’Or have been announced, including Senegal’s Iliman Ndiaye.
The Confederation of African Football has shared the list of ten players nominated for the 2025 African Ballon d’Or. Although Everton winger Iliman Ndiaye hasn’t won a trophy with his team yet, he is known for being one of the most unpredictable players in the Premier League, giving him a strong chance to win this award.
Another Senegalese nominee is Pape Matar Sarr. The list also features Achraf Hakimi, a four-time winner with Paris Saint-Germain, who ranked sixth in the France Football Ballon d’Or. Other nominees include Oussama Lamlioui, the top scorer in the African Nations Championship and the CAF Cup, Cameroonian Frank Anguissa from Napoli, and Egyptian Mohamed Salah from Liverpool.
The awards ceremony will take place at the end of 2025.
