Águila and Alianza Set for Classic Showdown Amidst Contrasting Form

Club Deportivo Águila will face Alianza Fútbol Club this Friday at Estadio Cuscatlán in a rescheduled Matchday 8 game of the Apertura 2025, as reported by Diario El Mundo. The match, known as the “classic of central and eastern El Salvador,” is set to start at 7:30 p.m. local time and features two teams in very different situations in the league.

Águila, under the guidance of Argentine coach Daniel Messina, is struggling after losing three consecutive matches, including a recent defeat against Firpo. Their poor form has left them sixth in the standings with 14 points, putting their playoff hopes at risk. Returning to their home ground provides an opportunity to change their fortunes, but facing an in-form opponent will be a challenge.
