Al-Ittihad has had a shaky start to the Saudi Pro League season and has decided to make a managerial change.

Details: Portuguese coach Sergio Conceição will now lead Al-Ittihad. He has signed a contract lasting until 2027. His coaching team in Saudi Arabia includes João Costa, Siramana Dembélé, Fábio Moura, Diamantino Figueiredo, Vedran Runje, and analyst Eduardo Oliveira.

There were also rumors about Jürgen Klopp potentially joining the club, but no discussions have occurred between Al-Ittihad and the German coach.

The leading candidates for the position have been Xavi Hernandez, Luciano Spalletti, and Sérgio Conceição.

Reminder: After four matches, Al-Ittihad currently ranks third in the Pro League. Their first loss of the season to Al-Nassr was a key moment for Blanc, who had been in charge since 2023.
