Al Nassr break silence on rumors about Cristiano Ronaldo’s future

Cristiano Ronaldo’s future at Al Nassr remains uncertain after the club wrapped up the season without a single trophy. The team issued a brief statement on the matter, but instead of providing clarity, it raised more questions than answers.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s future at Al Nassr is generating widespread speculation across the soccer world. After a disappointing season in which the Saudi club fell short in the AFC Champions League, crashed out of the domestic cup, and failed to secure the league title, questions surrounding the Portuguese star’s next move continue to grow.

Rumors about Ronaldo’s potential departure have flooded social media and news outlets, but none have been confirmed. Even veteran sports journalists remain cautious, as no official statements have verified the speculation, until now. Al Nassr has finally addressed the situation, offering a glimpse into their plans regarding Ronaldo’s future.

Speaking publicly, Al Nassr executive Fernando Hierro addressed the swirling reports and provided insight into the club’s stance on retaining the five-time Ballon d’Or winner.

Ronaldo’s contract with Al Nassr runs through the end of June,” Hierro said. “We are working on renewing his contract so he can continue with us. Many clubs are interested in signing him, but we’re negotiating with Cristiano. God willing, we’ll find a solution.”

Despite falling short of expectations this season, Ronaldo remains a central figure in Al Nassr’s project. Whether he stays or seeks a new challenge elsewhere, the next few weeks promise to be decisive for one of football’s biggest icons.

Hierro shuts down Ronaldo-to-Al-Hilal rumors

Hierro addressed more than just Cristiano’s contract extension during Thursday’s media availability. The Al Nassr sporting director firmly responded to speculation linking the Portuguese star with a move to Al-Hilal, emphasizing Ronaldo’s commitment to the club and the broader vision for football in Saudi Arabia.

“Cristiano Ronaldo’s arrival marked the beginning of a national project for Saudi Arabia. He chose to represent Al Nassr,” Hierro said, dismissing the swirling transfer rumors.

He also weighed in on the noise surrounding Ronaldo’s future, much of it fueled by social media chatter. “I don’t follow social media, but there’s always a lot of misinformation out there,” Hierro noted. “I remain optimistic. I don’t believe Ronaldo will leave Al Nassr. We’re working hard across all areas to build something lasting.”

Al Nassr eyes major overhaul amid tough season

While Ronaldo’s situation continues to grab headlines, Hierro acknowledged that Al Nassr is navigating a difficult stretch. With the club falling short of expectations, changes are on the horizon.

“We want to give something back to the fans who have supported us,” Hierro said. “Ronaldo is a global icon who’s helped elevate the league, but this project is bigger than any one player.

He confirmed that the squad will undergo significant changes this offseason. “There will be adjustments involving foreign players, and we’re also planning major moves within the local player pool,” Hierro added.
