Al-Nassr has contacted both the player and Barcelona but faced a firm rejection from both parties. The club plans to make another move in 2026 when Bernal could become a free agent if he doesn’t renew his contract with Barcelona.

Bernal came through the Catalan football academy and was promoted to the first team last year, playing three matches before an injury sidelined him.

He was cleared to return on August 7, and this week the coaching staff approved his comeback after he completed preseason training with the first team, although he did not play in any matches. Barcelona plans to reintegrate him gradually, similar to what they are doing with Gavi.

According to Transfermarkt, Bernal’s current value is 5 million euros.
