In a recent talkSPORT show, Pardew discussed the potential move of Semenyo to Tottenham and other clubs.

“All the big clubs are interested, and the financial aspects for the player will be covered. It ultimately depends on where he wants to play,” he said. “Does he want to be the star at Spurs, a medium-sized club, or join a top team like Man City and compete for a spot?”

“Given his development stage, it’s best for him to play regularly. I believe Spurs would be a good fit for him,” he added.

“I’m not sure about the offer to Semenyo, but I’ve heard from agents that Spurs intend to make a move and have lifted some previous restrictions,” he noted.

“Points of contention with Daniel Levy that once hindered deals have been resolved, including agent payments and deal structuring,” Pardew shared. “I think Spurs will have positive news in this transfer window with the new management.”

What is the latest on Semenyo to Tottenham?

According to Fabrizio Romano, Tottenham is currently not progressing on the Semenyo deal. No specific reasons have been provided for this decision, but Manchester United and Manchester City have recently emerged as frontrunners, which may have led Spurs to reconsider their interest.

The club is also exploring alternative targets for the Bournemouth player, including Ajax’s promising talent, Mika Godts, who they have scouted in recent Eredivisie matches. It remains to be seen if they will pursue Godts in January.
