Bongani Zungu is reportedly set to leave AmaZulu in the Betway Premiership.
This season, Zungu has not been a regular player under coach Arthur Zwane, making him a limited contributor for the Kwa-Zulu Natal team.
While Usuthu aims for a third-place finish in the PSL standings, Zungu has not significantly impacted the team’s efforts.
This lack of contributions might affect his chances for a contract renewal at the club, according to Zwane.
In recent matches, Zungu has been benched as the coach favors younger players. The team also signed Luyolo Slatsha from Cape Town City, who plays in the central midfield position that Zungu typically occupies.
At 33 years old, it remains uncertain whether there will be interest from other clubs, given Zungu’s underwhelming performance at Usuthu this season.
