Club América’s upcoming matches, including the Clásico Nacional against Chivas, will take place at Estadio Ciudad de los Deportes. This follows an agreement with local authorities, as reported by Mediotiempo. The Benito Juárez borough confirmed that the stadium is set to host seven games in the coming month—four for the women’s league and three for the men’s league.
This decision came after discussions between the borough and the stadium’s operating company. The agreement includes the continuation of the “Ladrillera” security operation, which allows for partial or total street closures based on attendance.
An official statement revealed that the stadium has provided contingency plans for safety and security, along with the necessary permits for Liga MX events. Under the agreement, stadium staff will handle access control and logistics within the venue, while the borough and the city’s Security Secretariat will oversee operations outside.
This arrangement addresses the uncertainty following the venue’s closure during América’s match against Pachuca. Authorities confirmed that there are no restrictions for the scheduled games, ensuring the safety of fans and local residents. Consequently, the Clásico Nacional on September 13 will proceed as planned in Mexico City.
