América de Cali is preparing for major changes to its team as it struggles in the Liga BetPlay, according to Transfermarkt. The arrival of David González has not improved the team’s performance since Diego Gabriel Raimondi’s departure, and they are far from playoff success. With November approaching, the club is getting ready to reshape its roster.

This year’s transfer window was mismanaged, forcing América to depend on free agents, which contributed to their poor performance. Several players may leave as the team has not met expectations. To keep their postseason dreams alive, the Red Devils need to earn 26 out of 33 remaining points. If not, a major rebuilding effort is likely to begin.

Eight players are close to the end of their contracts and might leave: Joel Graterol, Santiago Silva, Jean Carlos Pestaña, Andrés Mosquera, Daniel Bocanegra, Sebastián Navarro, Jan Lucumí, and Luis Ramos. Bocanegra seems set to depart, as the club is unwilling to renew his contract after several costly errors that turned fans against him.

Navarro’s future hinges on América paying Fortaleza for his rights; otherwise, he will return to Bogotá. Ramos may head back to Universitario de Deportes in Peru by the end of 2025. In goal, either Graterol or Silva could renew their contracts to compete with Jorge Soto, but América may need to search for another goalkeeper.
