A major Premier League comeback.
After Nuno Espírito Santo resigned, Nottingham Forest searched for a new head coach and took just over 12 hours to make a decision.
Details: The club has officially appointed Australian coach Angelos “Ange” Postecoglou. While the terms of the contract remain undisclosed, reports suggest Postecoglou has signed on through 2027.
Background: Postecoglou’s coaching career in Europe began with Celtic. He achieved a domestic double in his first year and a treble in his second, which led to his nomination for the 2023 FIFA Coach of the Year award.
After moving to England to manage Tottenham Hotspur, Postecoglou guided the team to a fifth-place finish in his first Premier League season and secured their first major trophy in 17 years by winning the Europa League in the 2024/25 season, allowing the club to qualify for the Champions League.
